The "Posse" goes to Pine Valley

Cam, Kyler Neely, Bryson Reynolds, Caysen Moss,
Alan McInnes, Gavin Sutton, Henry Stafford, Connor McInnes

Alan and Connor have a group of friends that are in our neighborhood. We refer to them as the "Posse". They ride their bikes, play at each others houses, go to the park and catch tadpoles and just do boy things. They all come from really good families and we don't have to worry about them getting into trouble. Well for Alan's birthday in July we decided that it would be fun to take the group of boys up to the cabin in Pine Valley. Lexi was able to stay with the Reynold's so that she wouldn't bug her brothers. I knew she would because that is what little sisters do! So we went up on Friday after school. Once we got there and got unpacked the boys decided they wanted to go on a tour of Pine Valley. Paul, me and Cam stayed at the cabin and just let them roam. They decided they wanted to go on a tour of the Pine Valley church, odd, but whatever! They had a good time and didn't get in trouble at all. Good boys!
They boys coming back from their church tour. Cam was so excited to see them. I guess Paul and I aren't very much fun!
The boys were very nice to give Alan presents. He got some really fun stuff and money!

FOOTBALL! These boys love playing football! Paul was the designated quarterback and they had a really good time. I can't wait for flag football to start. They are just a lot of fun to watch!
Cam played his own little game of football. He would say "ready, set, hike" and then throw the ball. He cracks me up.

Cam was so so thirsty after his solo game!

After we had dinner Paul taught the boys how to play "MP". They had so much fun and played for a very long time. The funniest thing about the game was Alan kept tripping and falling flat on his face! Oh, I kept laughing SO hard. I don't know why but it just makes me laugh So hard when I see people fall. I know it's not nice, but I just cannot control it! One time in particular was exceptionally hilarious. Alan was walking in the weeds and I hear him say "Oh, crap here comes Bryson". Out of the corner of my eye I saw him trip and disappear behing a low lying bush and heard a very loud thud! Oh, I laughed so hard for so long! I am still laughing about it! Don't worry he was ok. He laughs about it too! Another time Connor was chasing Bryson and he tripped and landed smack on his face, no arms involved, and then his big head tripped Bryson. So Funny! They were all good sports and just let me laugh at them. Thanks boys!

It was cake and Happy Birthday time. Boys will be boys and so they of course had to go shirtless! We then watched a movie and then sent the boys to bed. I knew it would be awhile until they settled down. The funniest part about the whole trip was what happened around 12 a.m. Gavin started telling scary stories about deer and reindeer killing people by going into their houses. So they were all pretty scared and then all of a sudden they heard a deer outside the window. A deer had wandered onto the property and made a grunting noise! We heard them scream and yell and before Paul could get up and into the front room they were already down the stairs putting chairs under the knobs of the doors and I think Kyler had a pillow to protect them. It was just so funny that they had freaked themselves out so bad! It took awhile for them to settle down after that. They probably didn't go to sleep until around 1. Then they had to be up by 7:15 so that we could get back home to got to a Primary activity that they were in charge of. We had a really good time and I wouldn't mind doing it again! They are good boys and I'm so glad we got to hang out with them! Thanks boys!

  5. Wow, that is a good mom! I'm not sure if I'm ready for that kind of stuff. Pretty sure all the boys should have gone to your house. I'm much better at pedicures and getting nails done. Do you think my boys would mind doing that?
