The First Day of School

Wow! I cannot believe the summer is over already! It is time for school to start though because the kids are starting to fight! It is just too dang hot outside for them to be out there all day. Therefore, they get bored and get themselves in trouble for picking on each other. Alan is now in 5th grade, Connor in 2nd and Lexi in Kindergarten. I can't believe that I have 3 children going to Arrowhead Elementary! Last year Lexi did go to preschool for 3 days a week so I am used to having her gone for a little bit in the morning and it just being me and Cam. So it won't be too much of an adjustment. Alan has Mrs. Sparks and we are very excited. We had a rough year last year and are hoping to get a fresh start and accomplish a few things. We already had our back to school night and I am SO scared for 5th grade! Can we go back to Kindergarten? Alan has to start doing book reports and doing homework for 50 minutes each day! That's a lot of work! I'm pretty nervous! Lexi doesn't have her official first day until Monday, and she just cannot wait! We went on Thursday and had her Treasure Hunt and met her teacher Mrs. Fonnesbeck and she is so excited. Connor is just Connor and will do what is asked of him and will do just fine. He has a lot of motivation and wants to do his very best and not disappoint anyone. He's one of those kids that just knows what he needs to do and you only have to tell him once and he will get it done. Alan's a different story! They both have different talents and very different personalities and we are doing our best to understand them both!

Alan is already working hard. Let's hope it continues!

Connor's class in out in the portables with Mrs. Marchant. He says she is a pretty cool teacher and is excited about this year.

Paul and Cam were there too!

So we are hoping for a very fun and uneventful year. We hope that all of our teeth stay intact (except those that are suppose to fall out) and that we all come out of this year better than when we started!

  2. Yeah, about that homework thing? Madison's note said that her homework will ONLY take about 45 minutes a day....What the Heck? I'm just glad it's not Porter's. Good Luck with ALL those kids in school!
